It's just cream and coulis Lilli. When you unmould the cakes it has an indentation on the bottom (which becomes the top) so I just poured the cream in there.

Thanks girls, no big effort on my part. A perfect set of tins, a perfect recipe and just a little addition by me.

hi JD - I have to agree - you wouldn't find any better by any professional!! They look gorgeous! And this recipe can't be beaten for simplicity, speed . . and that wow factor!! May I ask if there's a secret to getting 6 perfect little cakes? I also made the same recipe in the same cake tin . . . . but I only scored 2/6 that came out of the pan properly. The others had bits and pieces that stuck to the tin Maybe I didn't oil the pan properly . . . . . any advice you can offer, JD, would be really appreciated!

Frozzie! Thanks heaps for the link . . . and to CC for finding this . . .fundj for the conversion . . .and to cookie for posting it!! . . a formidable team!!!
Will be making this today! I thought I was being so good and so careful oiling all the appropriate surfaces in those little heart shaped moulds but 4 out of the 6 came out quite "broken hearted" so sad . . . . .

Goldfish, I sprayed the tins with quite a lot of canola oil and they just fell out - I must admit I was a little surprised it was so easy.

Just a trial run for tomorrow's visit of master 3.5 - I thought he might like to make his Mum some love heart cakes for Valentines Day. We would normally go out to lunch on Valentine's Day but if babysitting once a fortnight clashes with what we would normally do, it takes priority these days. I'll have my favourite 2 men to spend the day with tomorrow now.
