This cake is a favorite in our house.  I made it again today but thought I might try steaming it in the Varoma instead of baking it - I've got a real love affair going with the Varoma at the moment and I'm steaming just about everything that can be steamed (and some things that can't!)

I steamed it for about 50 mins / Varoma temp / speed 4.  Came up deliciously moist and almost fudgy like a caramel mud cake.

Good for days when it is just too hot to turn on the oven!

Thanks snappy, that's handy to know. Did you put the mixture into a casserole dish or did you use a tin?

Will give this a go. I usually make this in my silicone square mould anyway.

Frozzie!  Thanks heaps for the link  . . . and to CC for finding this . . .fundj for the conversion . . .and to cookie for posting it!!   . . a formidable team!!! ;)   Will be making this today!  I thought I was being so good and so careful oiling all the appropriate surfaces in those little heart shaped moulds but 4 out of the 6 came out quite "broken hearted"   so sad . . . . .  :(

No problm ... What did you think of it.. I love the stuff.. Hasnt failed me yet and lasts for ages..

And dede.. What a group it is 😊

By the way dede .. How are you coping??
