Wait until he's a bit older KimmY, my son won't have anything other than a "foot long" and we go through the same joke everytime  ;D

I wonder how many he managed to eat in one go?

Would you believe he didn't eat a single one!!! DD who really hasn't been eating recently ate two though so that was great, and the family across the road was very appreciative. DH and I found the icing way too sweet so today I'm making hot cross buns without any sugar syrup or crosses. Maybe DS will eat those after basketball.

Yes I think the 100's and 1000's certainly would have added extra sweetness to the already sweet icing Wonder.  Look good though and are easily frozen if you're not going to eat them the same day. :D

Julie We just love these buns, my fussy DH thinks they are better than the shops 😁
I made 8 and will put 5 in the freezer for another day
I made them with no fruit, and they were so light and fluffy

That's great to hear Thermo, so glad you liked them.  I can imagine them being nice and light with no fruit, lovely photo. Thanks for reporting back.  :D

They certainly do.  I'm partial to a good finger bun but usually manage to keep walking past bakeries.
