Good app for those wanting to lose weight but it would send me crazy. It would be like the Wii Fit screaming OBESE OBESE OBESE when you weigh in.

DD I love that app. Chookie put me onto it a while ago. I've been bad with birthdays etc but I love the way it gives you all the food breakdown. I found that I eat very little fat, but too much sugar which is hidden in all the foods.

Ok I know this is a really stupid question but I just downloaded Paprika since so many on the forum use it...but how do you use it. Do you copy the whole recipe from forum and then what...it does not allow you to paste it in a simple way like Evernote. Help!

If you go to the browser in Paprika and then bring up particular page on the forum that you want. If you look at the bottom of the screen you will see buttons that say photo, ingredients, name, directions, etc...and create recipe. Highlight each section of the recipe that you want to save and then tap the corresponding button. Once you are done, tap create recipe and it will display the completed recipe....tap on the done button in the right top corner and the recipe is saved.
For sites like food.com and taste.com.au, you can just tap on the save recipe button that appears on the top right corner of the original browser screen. Those sites are written in hrecipe markup language and paprika knows exactly what to do with them.

Just thought I'd mention that there is an update for paprika for the iPad now available. Apparently they have also submitted the Mac version update as well.

I'm going into the city on Monday to get my very own ipad3. It is very exciting. I've been waiting since my birthday (April) and when we were away we found the netbook very slow compared to the ipad.

Wish you well to use it. I'm sure you will love it, they are so handy...I'm actually typing this on mine as we drive up the pacific highway between the gold coast and Brisbane!

Yay cookie, another iPad owner. I'm still contemplating updating from my iPad 1 to an iPad 3.

Very exciting . My DS just bought his wife an iPad and my DGD is wanting one for her11th birthday next month and I think she will be able to get it. She has been saving for some time. When they move to India at the end of the year they will be home schooled so will need it. My son is a teacher so life will not be too hard for the grand daughters aged 6 and 11.
The iPad is a great product in so many ways.

It'll be hard on you though Gert.
My daughter and her family lived in London for the first 7 years of their marriage. It was tough only seeing them at Christmas time. We missed all of the baby milestones.
Thank goodness they're living in Aus now.

Yes merrilyn but a great adventure for them and inevitable I guess. They know India quite well as my DI lived in Mayapur for some years and they visit often. They have mny friends and relatives who either live there or visit so they won't be lonely . We have our iPads for some face to face time.
