Has anyone else noticed recently that on some posts the emoticons are not appearing - they are just the small boxes you see elsewhere where the computer / program cannot accept the original character?  I suspect, with my computer, it is for those who use tapatalk.

Some people can see the emoticons and others can't, and yes it is from those using tapatalk. Not sure why some see it and others don't though 😃

Ohhhh I thought it was just my Apple computer.

I can only see the little boxes too.

I think you need the mojo keyboard to see the pics.

I'm excited that I've found Personal Hotspot on my iPhone.  Now I don't need to worry about getting a sim for my iPad! I just use the iPhones Internet. 😍

I use tapatalk and I have the emoji app and I can't see the smileys, only boxes. The only thing I can think of is that I haven't updated my phone.  Maybe that's it.

Hools have you activated the emoji keyboard through your settings? Can you put emoticons in your posts? If not go to settings then to general then to keyboard then add keyboard and the select emoji. Hope that helps. If not then that is as far as my tech brain will go lol.

By only seeing squares we can guess at the emoticon. ;)

When I'm using tapatalk I can't read the symbols for things like knead, reverse, soft speed etc they come up as stars and dots instead. Bit of a fill in the missing symbol sometimes.

Dede, I went to settings and it doesn't have keyboard for emoji. Think it might if my phone was updated but got to get computer fixed first!!!
Also I can't see the knead etc only dots.
I can do smileys by semi colons and brackets etc.

You can download the Emoji keyboard through iTunes.

Maybe once your phone is updated it will work. Oh well for the moment you will have to fill in the missing bits with your imagination. How long do you have to wait until your computer is fixed?
