The latest app which I have found is Heytell - a voice messenger that allows you to instantly talk — lets you send instant voice messages to other heytell users - a kinder, gentler, warmer alternative to text messaging  :)  :)

I use Voice Audio for sending voice message on the iPad.  A few of my friends use it as well as it is inbuilt on the iPhone. Easy as. Works for sending to any PC as well as I products.

I think you can send easily about  7 minutes at time from the iPhone and endless from the iPad.

Heytell certainly does not allow messages of any great length go through Gert - will need to use Voice Audio more then.  :)  :)

Actually cookie 1 voice mail has  been  around a long time. I think I first used it on my first Gateway computer  more than 20 years ago. I had a microphone on a stick and I was amazed.i recorded a song I still use today for my birthday mail. It is the Happy Birthday song from  a kiddy program on TV though I cannot remember the name of it. I think it was live on the ABC.  Not play school but............

Dede I think we all sound weird to our self when we hear our own voice recorded.  It has something to do with the resonance of our sinuses and the connection to our ears. Anyone else hearing your voice recorded would think it sounds just like you.

Pesonally I hate the sound of my voice when I hear it recorded.

DW and I have found a great app (thanks to our doctor) that helps you track calories. It is called MyFitnessPal.  I have never been any good at tracking meals/calories becuase it take too long ot look it up nad write it down.  This app is available for Iphone and Android.

Once you load in your details (age, hieght, weight) set a target weight goal and how fast you want to lose it gives you a calorie amount for each day. Exercise deducts calories and food adds them. THe Iphone version even allows you to scan barcodes of products which  bringsup the product name servings size and nutritional information.

There is also the abillity to add your own recipes bu adding the ingredients and quantities and telling the app how many servings it makes. The pp then calculates the nutritional informatio for each serving.

I have been struggling to lose about 5 kilos for months and getting nowhere. I have lost a ilo in a week by just tracking what I am eating. Whne you look up some foods and realise how many calories are involved you really start to think if you really want to eat it or not.
