Love the ipad and iphone. Love kindle, ibooks, Evernote, banking and have recently discovered menu_planner (website http://menu-planner.com/) . I posted some details in another another menu planning topic on this forum. The menu planner allows easy import of recipe from select websites (and soon to be all websites so Thermomix recipe communities as well, and hopefully the forum). It has easy shopping lists, pantry lists, recipes and the menu plan. Finally a menu planning app that's easy to use and syncs between my i products and desktop.

Do you mean you are buying an iPhone outright and using an existing phone plan? Surely a 49$ plan plus phone would work out to be about the same as buying a phone outright over a 2 yr period?

Not sure  but  my plan is $10  a month. An I phone is maybe $500 so over 24 months it would cost  $240 plus  $500 so $740 . .@ $49 times 24 is a lot more.  In any case I am doing nothing until I need to.

If u put iCloud on one of ur apple devices it uploads all the same apps to each device.  For example if you download kindle onto ur iPhone it will automatically go to ur iPad, iPod.  You cannot as far as I know sync these except to a pc to get ur latest versions of the platform progs that run ur device.  Does that make sense.  I haven't synced my iPad or iPhone for ages and am dreading the new versions that have come out to update  - its going to take ages :-)). I'm pretty sure about the iCloud thing as afta I downloaded it all new apps I acquired appeared on my phone, iPad and ipod ;D.  I just would love a MacBook now but got a "regular" laptop to keep the continuity for the kids to work on between school and home.  For those obsessed about angry birds you have to download Where's my Water ( a crocodile who lives in the sewers and requires water to shower. - we are all hooked on it. :-*

A couple of months ago my DS (16) brought a iPhone 3 from a friend for $50 because it had a broken screen, we got the screen replaced for $50 and it was a s good as new again. He sold that iPhone  and recently brought a iPhone 4 for $150 from another friend because it has a broken screen and we are about to have the screen fixed for $80. Pretty good buy. I don't think people realize that broken screen on these gadgets don't cost a lot to have replaced if you know where to go.

A broken screen isn't the end of the phone, that's for sure.

Gretch, I meant the internet part of my phone plan is $10 a month. I actually pay $50 a month which entitles me to unlimited  free calls to any Telstra phone. I bought my iPhone outright. This is a business plan as we have three mobiles and two home phones on the account, plus our home internet. I also pay an extra $5 a month for 100 texts.

I can only use Telstra, as they're the only service providers in the bush. When I go to the Telstra shop, I'm planning to get a better deal as I only get 6Gb a month for my $80 on the home computer.
A great cook is one who can rustle up a fabulous family meal with some freezer burnt chops, wilted carrots, sprouting potatoes and cabbage that's gone brown on the cut edges.

I would love to be an all Mac house but my PC and Phone (blackberry) are work supplied and paid for so there is no way I can justify having a Mac laptop or iPhone which I really wouldn't use very much.

Yup you do the deal with those robbers. For that I would want unlimited everything.

There is a new Thermomix app called cooking with the super chef and it's free to download but then you have to pay for more recipe categories. I downloaded it today but found it pretty slow. Not sure if I would bother buying extra recipes or not. I'm pretty stingy lol.

My other favorite apps are

Documents
Coloring (for the kids)
Art maker (ABC play school) for kids
Gum tree
Big oven
Facebook
eBay
Woolworths
Bejeweled
