What recipe did you use Meagan? That's the part I miss out on by not having a Thermomix yet, I haven't been able to make my own stock. I hadn't thought of using my pressure cooker.

It is a friends recipe
25/30 mins Low pressure
3 chicken carcasses
2carrots peeled and chopped
2cellery sticks with leaves
Parsley thyme or whatever herbs you like
2 bay leaves
2tsp salt
1 tsp pepper corns
1 onion
1.25-1.5lt water

It was really easy  ;)

Hi Everyone,

Thinking of buying one of these - which brand and what size - we are a family of 5 (all eating adult meal size)?  Thanks in advance.

Another question .......can you brown the meat before cooking or do you need to do in frying pan like you would before putting in a slow cooker?

Can't believe how fast I got a response!!!! :)

Just ordered one from Home Depot $130 including $2 insurance - can't wait for it to arrive, but I'll have to pretend it's something that's lurked under the bench for years...........bought a Phillips easy clean juicer on the weekend - it's fantastic - hopefully with all the fresh juice and good homestyle meals we'll keep the dr. away this winter!

Thanks ladies,

Sylvia

I've been on a search Bickie but the nearest I found is this at John Lewis but alas no pressure cooker. :P My pressure cooker died years ago when I let it boil dry  :-)) :-)) with the girls having so much success with theirs I might have to invest in one again ;)  ;D

Thanks CC - I am in Soho tomorrow so will pop into JL and have a look, but I think I'll keep searching to see if I can find one with the pressure cooker too. I thought I'd write to Lakeland to see if they are interested in stocking it.  I'll let you know if I have any success.

Flybuys take forever to deliver, especially when they say it's coming from a third party.
