5 in 1 multicooker

If mine broke I'd replace it with an electric pressure cooker (stove top is probably better but I cannot be relied upon to keep an eye on it).  I don't use mine for anything that can't be done in a pressure cooker.  Eg: why would i use the rice cooker, which takes 15 (ish?) minutes when I can do it for 1/3 of that time using the PC function.

I like the browning function. I have a stand alone oval slow cooker that is good for legs of lamb. It doesn't have browning function though which many of the newer models have. I use the PC function and have never used the rice cooker function.

i loved mine and it was a great easy introduction to pressure cooking - basically one button and no failures. Mine did stop working after 3 months but newwave were happy to send a courier to pick it up and replace it. I ended up buying a stove top one and love that as well.

I love mine but I did have the problem of it turning off as soon as it reached pressure. How did others resolve that?

Mine has done this a couple of times.
Both times I was starting a curry with a lot of juicy veg that I knew would give enough moisture for the cooking.
I added a bit of water and gave the ingredients a really good stir and everything was fine.
I think it must be a heat sensor or something setting off when there is not enough liquid at the bottom of the pot.
Just a guess, but seems to work.

I haven't read this entire thread so forgive me if this has been covered before. I'm interested in purchasing the 6 in 1 multi cooker which is currently on special for $129. It's the 5 in 1 with the addition of a deep fat fryer. I'm mainly interested in the pc side of it and most pressure cookers are around this price anyway. Are they a good pc or would I be better buying a stand alone one? Does anybody own a 6 in 1 and would you recommend it? TIA

I only have the 5 in 1 and love it as a pressure cooker and slow cooker. My DS only uses it as a pressure cooker and loves it too.

There is the 6 in 1 at kitchen warehouse for 120 at the moment i think it is and 100 for the 5 in 1 so good discounts..
