Evening all,

I am a Mummy to 3 wonderful children. Our boys are 9 and 7, and our Princess is 3 1/2, and has multiple disAbilities, as well as being intollerant to wheat, gluten, eggs, dairy, soy and rice milk.

I LOVE my Thermomix, and am looking forward to finding new and exciting recipies that are suitable for my daughter.

My daughter is still on a prescription formula because of her intollerances, and we are working closely with her dieticain from the allergy clinic and speech therapist to get her to eat!

Luckily she can have nuts, and we grind them down in the TMX to make biscuits etc.

 :)

Hi Kyls, welcome to the forum. So sorry to hear your DD is doing it tough.  How hard it must be for her to see her brothers eating things that she cannot. I do hope, with the help of your dietitian and the Thermomix, you can come up with some winning recipes to entice her to eat.

Wow. That would make variety difficult for you. I hope the TM makes life easier for you to have more variety for you DD.

Welcome to the Forum Kyls. Have an adult friend with similar intolerances.  He subs.  potato flour and corn flour in some recipes.  Mostly he eats meat and veg.  This is a lot more difficult with a littlie.  Let us know if we can help with the process of adapting any recipes.

Welcome Kyls, Have you tried the almond milk for your daughter, i love it and it makes great smoothies. What a challenge you have, hope we can be of help to you. Frozen banana's a bit of honey, blitz up to make a yummy ice-cream for her.  Lucky for you the TMX should help with preparing the food.

Welcome kyls. It's lovely to have you join us here - like chookie says, let us know if there's any way we can help.
As my picture shows, I've suddenly become younger :-)  DD was of the opinion that her picture should be here, not mine!

The almond milk is always a good recipe to try and can your daughter have the orgran egg replacer? I often use it in recipes as an egg substitute. Also, potato flour, rice flour (made in the TM) and pure cornflour (ie White wings brand etc, not the wheaten) make good thickeners. (Is your daughter able to eat rice or is it jjust rice milk she can't have?)
Anyway, there are plenty of fantastic resources on the forum for those of us with food intolerances and allergies- I dont know where I'd be without my TM for knowing what is going into our food and the beauty is, a lot of conventional recipes can be modified to allow for various dietary requirements. Sometimes this takes a lot of experimentation but you'll find that pretty quickly you'll develop a good repertoire of decent recipes to cook.

Welcome to the forum Kyls. Are you following Quirky Jo's blog? Lots of recipes and ideas on her blog. The thermomix is the best help you can have in the kitchen.

May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.

Thanks for your message. She cant have the orgran egg replacer, as basically its a binding agent, and well lets just say it worked very well and bound her up(bowels). She has hypotonia(low muscle tone) and its even in her bowels.

I make her biscuits with ground flax sees, ground chia seeds, ground macadamia nuts, fresh dates, banana, cinamon and nutmeg. I then make them into biscuit shape and dehydrate them, They are delicious.  Love how fast and easy it is to grind up everything in my TM
