Apple pies
« on: March 12, 2012, 11:07:15 pm »
Yes making 25 mini apple pies today.

Have 3 kgs of apples. Not sure how many I need, will do them in stages.

Ok, peel apples, chop in TM, add sugar, then how do I cook?

Love some help.

Thanks

Hally

When I make apple crumble I usually steam the apples in the varoma for I think 15 minutes with a sprinkle of sugar and cinnamon.

Someone asked the same question Hally, here's that thread as I'm presuming you are using your mini pie appliance.

If there's only 3 in each batch you are going to need to 9 batches which will give you 27 - assuming there might be 8 in each batch.

Yes sorry 8 in each batch, lol I made 5 batches

12 small apples
Warer to cover
2tbs of sugar,
Cooked in TM bowl for about 20 mins 100, soft speed & reverse.

Made 40 pies, the last few were a little low on filling.

Hally, I didn't know you could get a mini pie maker.
I made my mini pies for work in a muffin pan. What brand is it?

I just use puff pastry in the pie maker Bubbles.
I think Hally said she used Borg's brand as it was on special. Have used that brand too and it's been fine.
