« on: March 21, 2012, 05:32:56 am »
The things you come across on the  Internet. I will move over to Tapatalk so I can upload some screen shots in case this web site goes missing.  http://thermomixdistribution.en.ecplaza.net/original-thermomix-tm31-accessories-transparent--325273-2523373.html note the "sample" price.

Well cream puff  I wouldn't think so.  I doubt  even the consultants are aware of the actual price of  the Thermomix to the distributors. I any case something interesting to chew  on.

Hmmm  doesn't sound right... I was born and grow up in Bandung.  This street currently full of factory outlet for fashion.  Even with the price of USD400 it's still very expensive with exchange rate.

The price must be wrong!!!

It would be cheaper for perth people to buy it and have it shipped. Minimum order 10, well I woud take 1.

There must be a big scam somewhere....

I don't trust anything like this. I always believe if its sounds to good to be true then it probably isn't true.

I'm very cautious

Well there are plenty of people on this forum who have worked in retail and know how much the markup can be.  I know for fact that a name label "T" shirt can have a 1000% mark up.  A refrigerator may have a 200-300% markup.  You can pay $10 for a $3 toaster or an expensive toaster can cost $500 but on sale can be as little as $275 and the retailer is still making a profit.

Could be a scam or not. Could be the Bellini in disguise or this could be the true price of the machine landed at the dock. Food for thought.

Interesting website though.

Well it is cheap for AUD, but if you live in Indonesia and earn average salary there, USD400 is still a lot.
1 AUD is closed to Rp 10,000.-.  Many people earn less than AUD200 a month.
