I have made this tart so many times, mainly because I have had so many requests for it! It's very easy to make and I have used lemons successfully if I haven't had limes. I have used all sorts of fruits for the topping: raspberries; grapes; strawberries; blueberries or any combination, or even a drizzle of melted chocolate. I also often serve it with a berry coulis. I usually don't bother with the glaze, although it is easy to do. Glazed Kiwi and Lime Tart with Pistachio Crust

I put a piece of paper towel under the lid if I'm grinding spices or sugar. Stops the big cloud from floating up when you take the lid off!

I was really lucky to get mine with quite a discount as it was the last in stock of a superseded model. I looked at the new model out of interest but couldn't see any difference. The saleswoman said "Once you have one Miele appliance, you'll want all your kitchen and laundry appliances to be Miele!" And yes, I would, but there's zero chance of that due to cost!

We have a Miele dishwasher and have had no problems with it. I love the cutlery tray. I get mocked for making sure all the knives, spoons etc are put in in order, but then it is so easy to swipe a handful to put back in the drawer.

I have only made Hollandaise sauce once and it split. I poured it into a jug as I needed the TM for something else, and asked Mr. Google for help. Turns out if you add an ice cube and whisk, the curdled sauce comes together into thick glossiness before your very eyes! If I make it again I'll almost hope for it to fail because it was fascinating to watch!

Dear Gert,
There is nothing I can say that hasn't already been said more articulately by others.
Please know that you are held in the hearts of many, and thought of with great affection.
Much love, Sue

I'm sorry that I won't be able to commit to this. I would really love to come, but having recently started a full time job, I don't have a lot of holidays up my sleeve. A dear friend from the UK is hoping she will be well enough to travel after chemo and wants to meet up in Singapore in October to sip a Singapore Sling in the Raffles Hotel! My dad is hopefully also coming over from the UK in November, so I need to save up my time off. I am very jealous, though, and I know you will all have a ball! Maybe next time.

I made this last week, the first time I have cooked with quinoa. I soaked it for about an hour. I only used half the dressing, and didn't need to add the rest. We all enjoyed it, and the leftovers have been great for lunches. Will definitely make this again.

I made this the other night and we really enjoyed it.
I don't think I've ever made anything with Moroccan flavours before, and although I had dates and honey in the pantry I decided not to use them as I wasn't sure if I would like the sweetness. It was deliciously tangy from the lime juice, and the lamb was surprisingly tender from such a short cooking time.
I served it with steamed broccoli and mashed potato.

Sorry to be so late getting back to this thread...things have been so hectic here! I was very good and waited until Christmas Day to open my gift, and discovered the most beautiful wooden pepper grinder. I wondered aloud what it was made of, and the answer swiftly came back from DD: "Wood!" . I had been hoping for something a little more specific! I have a good idea who my secret Santa is, as I have seen pictures of these mills before, so it is even more special knowing that it is handmade. It will take pride on our table, and every time I use it I will think of my SS, (and her very clever DH!), and the lovely people of this amazing forum. Thank you! I am having trouble (again) posting pictures, so will come back later when I have more time and try again.

I'm Sue, and I'm number 24. I rarely only cook for myself, but when I do I'm another egg on toast person. Like Cookie, I only eat the yolk. Much as I enjoy cooking when the mood takes me, it's also nice not to have to bother!

I had some bananas that were well past their use by date and half a punnet of sad looking blueberries, so banana and blueberry cake it is.
