Tracked down some crumpet rings and we had these for breakfast yesterday.  They are yummy and so easy to make.

DH asked if we could have them again for breakfast this morning he liked them so much. Forgot to take a photo both times, as we were too busy eating them! Another great recipe Chookie.

That is great Katie. Glad Richard enjoyed them. I have been making a double batch and freeze most.  They toast well from frozen.  I picked the last of the Jostaberries yesterday and am  going to try dropping a few on to some of the crumpets before I turn them over.

With my new 12 cm frying pan I get 3 good sized crumpets from this recipe.

Look good Judy.  I see a posh restaurant is cooking these in a a pan and serving wedges. I think they must finish them off in the oven.

It's a great way to use the sour dough starter Denise, glad to see you've come onboard with the crumpets.  I doubt I'll ever buy another one now.

C C , they look great. I have found that they heat up well in a hot dry frypan.
Judy, I have one of those small pans.  Must give it a go.
