I've had a couple of $0 weeks already this year and last year's average again came in around $50 per week for 1 person.

That's amazing Judy.
And your freezer is full of leftovers and you give so many meals to your Mum - which makes it even more remarkable.

My freezer always seems to be full of everything Katie, I can never go past a piece of bargain priced meat  :D  I do enjoy stretching the dollar and seeing how many meals I can get from a piece of meat. Yesterday at Gawler River Meat I bought chicken fillets, pork fillets, lamb ribs, American T-bones for the SC and that leg of ham I've already mentioned. It was so busy in there yesterday.

Like you I can't go past a meat bargain Judy. It is so expensive the bargains are well worth the outlay at the time. I seem to spend $150-$200 each week. If I don't buy meat it is less. Fruit and Vegies are about $60-$70 a week.

Where do you shop CC, I loved Morrisons in Diss, and Tesco and Lakeland.  We have a new Woolies in Falcon it reminds me of a UK supermarket, without the booze.

I shop mainly at Tesco and occasionally at Waitrose Denise. All the major supermarkets are struggling here as Aldi and Lidl have become very popular with the quality and low prices of their food.

CC,  love your shopping list, especially the toy car.
We have been eating out of the freezer and garden and this certainly saves a lot. What is it about the meat bargains? I thought I was the only one who had this problem.!

Love it, CC!!  I kind of did something similar over the last week and a bit . . . bread tins, some 3D cookie cutters (I'll post in the Shopping thread) and, dare I say it . . .  an air fryer (after all these months of resistance.  However!! Hope I've made up for it by a $0 grocery bill by cooking out of pantry, freezer and fridge!   ;D

I. Believe Aldi will be up and running here next year. I can't wait. It may make Coles and Woolies sit up a bit. I am getting fed up with not being able to buy the brands I like in their shops.

GF,  the AF will bring out your creative urges.  You will want to try all sorts of different things. Have fun.
Have to visit Supermarket today.  Going to try new method.  NO trolly, just basket and rush in and out.
