Maddy, you could have warned us before putting the ATO symbol on your post! I am more terrified of them than anything else!
I WOULD RATHER BE HOLDING THAT HUNTSMAN!

Agreed!

Loved reading all the posts and glad you're safe cookie.

I'm not scared of spiders or snakes, as long as I know where they are. My mother taught me to like spiders when I was young. We holidayed at Garden Island, off Rockingham and the shacks were full of giant huntsman spiders. She would give them names and talk to them.

I am scared of having to drive or tow big machinery. I hate it when I have to drive anything large or tow something. My worst fear is DH asking me to tow the truck with the ute so he can jump start it. The truck has to get at a certain speed for the brakes to get working. One day I slowed down too soon and the truck went straight into the back of the ute. All he was worried about was that the tow bar of the ute went through the radiator of the truck!
From that day on, I told DH that I was never going to tow him in the bloody truck again and buy a bloody battery that works! Except I think I used worse words than that....

Just when I thought it was all over we have had the police out here and the SES telling us that around midnight tonight (why is it always night??) there will be a tropical low and a low interacting over Exmouth to KALBARRI (we're in the middle) causing gale force winds, torrential rain and king tides. We had to pull the annexe down and put everything from it either into the car or van. All the rubbish bins have had to be moved inside etc. I guess cyclone people are used to this, but this is June and they should be gone.
I was ready to head home and DH said 'don't be silly.'  Men :-[
Oh well, surely this will be the last time this holidays. At least the SES and police are here to help. They are even filling sandbags. Not sure why as it will be low tide when it happens. Another adventure for us all. :'( :'( :'(

Oh Cookie, I hope you have that bottle of port handy.
Stay inside, warm and safe.  Hopefully it might turn out to be not as nasty as predicted.
