Eucalyptus oil by itself with hot water is a really good de-greaser. I think it probably is an essential ingredient.

I was wondering if this would get the grease off my DH's  clothes. It looks as though it will. Thanks.

OK, another use for this product - a prewash stain remover.  Great to hear, another product I don't have to purchase

Agree with this.
Tried on dribble stained sheets, and worked well. Have had trouble removing these in the past.

Have yet to try on agriculturally related stains but will report IDC.

I used this today when cleaning inside the rangehood as well as the 2 filters - amazingly quick and easy job i.e. until I tried to put the filters back    That took me far longer than it did to clean them.

I always put my range hood filters in the dishwasher. They come up a treat!

Good idea, Brumington, I never thought of that.  Maybe spray them first to give them a bit of a head start!

Mine are too big to fit in the dishwasher

And my Rangehood does not have parts that can go in the dishwasher, it has a round charcoal filter and a grease filter. My Rangehood is quiet old and I replace the charcoal myself as I can't get any new filters for it.

Hi everyone, I made this up a week or so ago, and used it to clean the shower, while it did work I wasn't "amazed" with it.

Then last night I used it to clean the floor and the cupboards in front of the stove, and decided to give the grout a scrub.....well I really shouldn't have don't that, because now I realise how dirty the rest is!!!

DP took it the spray bottle and cleaned the rest of the kitchen cupboards, then did the light switches, while I sat and scrubbed the grotty grout, then he commented that I would have to make some more of that because it works better than Sugar Soap.

I have had two failures regarding stains with this, first oil.... Need fairy liquid to remove Oil, apply neat leave a min of an hour, rinse off a bit in cold water to prevent too many bubbles in front loader, and second cattle related stains. Revert to napisan for that kind of stain! LOL

My new housecleaner asked for this recipe after that and my own glass cleaning spray were the only cleaning products I put in her kit last week.  She was obviously impressed.

Thanks for this recipe Dede. Have a bottle in each bathroom, smells really nice and works well.  I won't be trying it on grout anywhere! Thanks for the warning

I have also filled up my empty toilet duck bottle for cleaning the toilets.
I must make up some of Judy's window cleaner as well as I use heaps of window cleaner, between mirrors, glass sliding door, windows and glass I use for framing.

Judy what was the window cleaner mixture? I know it's here somewhere.
