Thanks everyone for your kind comments and hugs and kisses.
I am hanging in there but will be so glad when it's done. We've had fabulous summer weather, sunny and 20'. It shortens the winter somewhat. Cold forecast from tmro.

I went to look at bathroom stuff today but wished I hadn't as various things occurred while I was away..... I asked before I left too!!!!

Lovely idea to have lunch out ladies but as I am new to this area and been fairly tied to the house, I haven't made any friends yet. I may try keep fit in the village or the craft class however I need to be rid of tradies first. A choir would be good but that is 12 miles away on a Monday night. All these things will happen in good time.
Windows start again tomorrow.

Picked grapes from the garden, didn't know we had any. Wondering what to do with them.... Jelly maybe to go with roast meats. But the kitchen windows are being done tomorrow and next day and I am severely restricted in what I can do. Just Juice and freeze maybe. There is dust everywhere and no likelihood of improvement for two weeks at least. Do I use  *: to make grape juice? Mix and then strain?

Cheers DJ xx

Hello all
Mmmmnnnn Obbie I just hope two weeks is enough to make it a bit more habitable. Currently there is no where to sit or eat except perched on folding chairs.
It will be at least three months more work, stoves to go in inc new chimney through our bedroom cupboard floor (!) and then painting etc for the house to be ready for carpets and only if all goes to plan. Then we can maybe get the stuff out of store and actually make a home.
Had hoped for Christmas but am no longer sure about that.
Cheers DJ x

Off to make good the disasters of yesterday:
Move and straighten the one carpet to go back down. It got folded in 3 yesterday when I was out.

DJ, if you can understand the 3rd step, check out this recipe for grape juice.

Then there is this one on the forum.

Another one.

Let us know if you try any of them DJ.

OMG you poor things.
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.
