Morning all.
Yes Judy,  I always check for spiders.  Usually only small ones.
Menu for today, morning tea Scones jam and cream.  Lunch soup, quiche and salad. Dinner Maggie Beer pate, roast chicken and pork belly,  going to try Tenina/ Wonder  method.  Roast pots, ratatouille and steamed mixed greens. Plum and rhubarb crumble.  Cheese . Ral can look after drinks.
GD wants to know if we can keep them until the weekend,  so she can come and check them out. She is 11.

Chookie that sounds like a wonderful menu - very lucky woofers to have found you :-)

If you use Tenina's pork belly from the Christmas book and use the spice mix as well as the method, we find while we love it on it's own with rice and steamed veggies (DS's favourite recipe) we find the flavours don't marry well with roast veggies and other roast meats.

I have never heard of woofers until the weekend when I was chatting with a local artist and her daughter has been in Scotland and Ireland woofing for 8 months. So now I've heard of them twice in a few days.

Uni, the house is looking fantastic - doesn't look like it's much of a holiday for Frank though.

Good afternoon everyone.

Lovely menu chookie your woofers won't want to leave. :)

My friends DD went woofing in England a couple of years ago and had a great time.
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

Morning all.
The Wwoofers are very nice young people.  Oh to be 20 again. ,!  We decided to work on veggie garden.  They had 2 beds  cleaned ip in 1/2 an hour.  We had bought a raised tin garden bed so they helped Ral assemble this.  All the bits necessary weren't in the package,  so a trip to Romsey.  Although they have been in Australia for a month,  they haven't seen much.  Had a bit of a look around.  Lucy is sort of Vegetarian,  so made a Quinoa and rice salad with mango toms and onion.  Made the Cashew mayo.  Also has some Indian patties.  The quiche had quite a lot of ham in it.  Found that they liked ice cream,  so made some Liquorice ice cream.
Today, sausage rolls and cinnamon rolls for morning tea,  soup and sausage rolls for lunch. Might make Lucy a FILO roll with ricotta, Parmesan and artichoke filling.  KFC chicken for Dinner and they have decided on Mars bar ice cream.
They have good appetites but are willing and energetic workers.
They have had one very bad experience,  but are not complaining.  They had Cornflakes and instant noodles ,  every day for 2 weeks.  3 meals a day.  Can you believe that. .?
Cookie, GD will have to be happy with photo.

I could do with them visiting my place, Chookie.  Glad they are working out well for you.  My nephew woofed for a while in the UK and overall enjoyed it very much, but, like your ones, he also had one bad experience.
