The freezer clean out is working, as after this week I could see a couple of gaps in the main freezer (but I baked 2 loafs of bread today, sliced them and froze them - so the gaps are now full!).

That's always my problem Katie but you've done well in week 1.

Great cupcakes Jenny. They will be gobbled up.
I saw the baked relief Facebook site too. It's really good to know that we can do something. There is a place in Como that I can drop the goodies off to. It sort of makes you feel you are doing something to help.

Well it's been a week and all we've spent of the $21 budget we gave ourselves is $8.38 on milk.  I will need to go to the shops tomorrow to buy milk and vegies, but that's all I plan on buying.  I've made a menu plan for the week, using things from the freezer, fridge and pantry.  The freezer clean out is working, as after this week I could see a couple of gaps in the main freezer (but I baked 2 loafs of bread today, sliced them and froze them - so the gaps are now full!).
Well done Katie.

Those cupcakes look brilliant, you must be very happy with them.

Morning all.
Keep thinking of those poor people in the fire areas. If any members can do some baking, I am sure that it will be appreciated. It isn't just the food but the fact that someone is thinking of them.
Jen, you are a marvel making all those lovely cup cakes.
Katie, well done. I was inspired by you and was also going great before we left home for our little holiday.
Thanks for all the good wishes.  It is lovely here. Great holiday atmosphere. Will post photos later today.

Have a great day everyone. We had the 2 oldest GK's for a sleepover and fortunately they are still asleep, it's 6am.

Good morning everyone, hottie here today so there won't be anything done around here apart from visiting the guys where they have a very efficient air conditioner - the residents all wear cardigans but I love to soak up the coldness for a couple of hours.

Morning all.
It is lovely here at Barwon Heads.   Doing very little but crowd watching. Sunny with cool wind. GC arrived last night. Lots of beach today. Will try and post photo from our front door.
