Enjoy your cruises Gert. The Italy trip sounds fabulous.

A lovely sunny day here today.Had a good walk with Chance this morning.

I went shopping with DS which was great but driving home from his house was dreadful. Took an hour!! it normally takes 25 minutes. There is huge drive to build houses in the UK and on a road I use there are temporary traffic lights which caused huge tailbacks in all directions because they were opening the entrance to a new building site. I pity the drivers next week on those roads as the schools go back and it will be ten times worse.

I like your idea, Judy.  I have tried an internet recipe site - pepperplate - but gave up on that, but I think a hard copy list could work for me.

CC, how annoying. Most of our road hold ups are to do with road repairs and road extensions.

Not looking forward to next week as they are predicting 2 days with snow.

To save recipes, I do 3 things. First , I photograph and store on iPad. I pay $1.50 a month to buy extra space. I clean  out recipes about once a month.
Secondly, If I make a recipe and like it, I save on Snap Recipes.
Thirdly I have a collection , on iPad,  of favourite blogs and sites called 'latest' to which i frequently refer.
However I do like to convert from my book collection. Nothing like having a cup of coffee for morning tea and a nice cooking book.

Good morning everyone. A little wet today but not cold.
Our surrounding areas have been going through the NBN rollout (thankfully we have underground lines here so no road or footpath digging has happened) so for many months the main road I use daily has had speed restrictions. You need to leave home earlier if you have an appointment but the delays are nowhere near the length of time your trip was extended Denise.
Snow in September Chookie!  That's crazy
Have a great weekend everyone..

Good morning everyone and Happy Fathers' Day to our Aussie men. Very heavy rain last night so the gardens have had a lovely drink, rain all week by the looks of it - just hope it stops by Saturday night.  Not good for the Royal Adelaide Show which started last Friday though.

Happy Fathers' day to our forum Dad's and Grandads. Ral, Geoff, Shane, Martin and heaps of others. Nothing special here today except a pizza dinner ordered by DH. He received 3 thumb drives filled with 'his music' which he was thrilled with. His iPod which he inherited from DD is almost dead. Also a couple of off the road and camping books.

Thanks cookie, I'm sure all the men enjoyed their day.  DD & family came in with a big box of Krispy Kreme donuts, I was surprised Geoff managed to eat one - getting started was the hardest task for him. When the EN wished him Happy Fathers' Day this morning he asked her if he could go home, he hasn't said that for many years so it was rather puzzling.  Who knows what goes on in his mind.

Perhaps he thought he could come home for Fathers' Day.

That tugs at the heart strings Judy. I am sure he is comfortable, safe, and well cared for. He may just slip back in his mind to when he was able to get around, bless him.

I was thinking along those lines as well.  Perhaps something just triggered a long ago memory for him.

Good morning everyone.  Very windy here at the moment.
Yes girls, that's obviously what happened yesterday. He was strange early, couldn't keep his eyes off me but was fine from lunchtime on.
