I have to go out in the heat today. The chooks have maintained their appetite despite the heat Currently 39.1 degrees C and rising.

We have had gale force winds and rain for 2 days. Today the blue sky returned. It is going to slowly warm up until Christmas Day. It didn't feel like summer at all.

Out for lunch at friends place.
Visit to Dr in Melbourne yesterday.  Have a fatty lump on neck. Not cancer but should be removed. This will happen in late January. Will have to cancel SD cooking class that was to take place in late January.

Good news re. the lump on your neck, it is always best to take care of these things.  There will be plenty of other opportunities to do a SD cooking class.

Good morning everyone, a nice cool day here for some respite but best news is that Christmas Day is only going to be 25 degrees. Perfect.
Good news that the lump is nothing sinister Chookie.

We are not doing the big Xmas lunch this year. Having Dinner with DD and GC.
Instead of a Xmas tree, this is what I have done. Most of the Lillies are from our garden.
We buy a large Istra ham and give most away to friends at Xmas.

Good morning everyone.  A bad start to the morning here.  Got up early to do some cooking for GD and spilt 1/2 cup melted butter all over the micro wave, bench, cupboard doors and floor.  By the time I had cleaned it all up everyone was up so no cooking done.

Cookie, I love the arrangement of your lillies they are beautiful.  We have a small fake Christmas tree that I bring out every year.  DIL makes fun of it every year and threatens to throw it away .

Lovely arrangement Chookie, I don’t bother with a tree these days either.  I just place a few things I’ve made on the dining room table and hang a star on the front door, that’s Christmas for me but when I get to the care facility there are Christmas trees everywhere and they’re the ones who have to put them up and take them down again.  It will take me a minute at the most to clear mine away, getting lazy in my old age.

Pity about the spillage this morning Margaret, I find when I rush to do things everything goes wrong.  I bet you were thinking you should have stayed in bed.

The forecast has changed here for Christmas Day, now going to be 29 - still not bad but if it creeps up any further it won’t be.

We have a Christmas tree as I insist on it. If DH had his way we wouldn't worry about Christmas. I love the gift buying  and food preparation.

I love the lilies Chookie, they really look pretty. Margaret what a job, I don't envy you at all.
