It's unusual Judy. We are apparently having a couple of days of 31 or so.

Cloudy and overcast here but no rain today.  I managed to get the laundry dry enough to bring inside.

Message from TMX to say they have fixed up the mess I made.  Lovely Gerry, my consultant is coming on Monday.  Monday is also the day when you can put your recipes on the 6.

I'm looking forward to trying that Chookie. I think I have to be very careful as I was mucking around with my phone this morning and accidently rang friends. They thought I was 'losing it'. I didn't realise until I could hear them speaking. Fortunately they are very good friends and we are having coffee on Wednesday so I will cop a lot of ribbing.

Good news Chookie, if they hadn’t heard of you before this they would all know of you now LOL
Good luck with the next phase.

When I bought my first smart phone many years ago cookie I accidentally rang my motor mechanic a few times, he’s first on my list of contacts. It took me a while to realise what I was doing for that to happen but he informed me he received these calls quite often - probably from elderly people like me!

Warm and humid.
Love reading about others mistakes.  Yesterday I thought I would prepare the ingredients for the Ginger fluff sponge that iI am baking for visitors today.  Mixed all the dry ingredients as instructed and then also added the sugar. Hell, I woke up in the middle of the night realised what I had done.
I added some eggs , butter and more flour and made cup cakes. Will turn them into butterfly cakes.

Seeing as we are confessing our silly errors... I haven't made risotto for ages so am out of practice.  Anyway, I tried a new recipe last weekend and read the ingredients ..

440 g arborio rice
125 ml white wine
1.25 litres vegetable stock
50 g grated parmesan

... seeing the wine being the same quantity as the vege stock.

I thought it was rather a lot of wine but that is what the recipe said so that is what I did.  I poured it into the pot and decided it really was a lot of wine so I checked the recipe again and, sure enough, I realised there was no decimal point in the volume for the wine as there was for the stock!  Luckily I managed to drain it all off and the risotto turned out really nice!  And, don't worry, the wine came from the end of a cask that was well out of date,so I didn't lose a good 'drop' down the sink!
