Lovely gift Bonsai. That was a busy day Kimmy. DJ have you got something planned to test out the new stove?

DD is very tired today. I don't know whether it's the Christmas  work party hangover or she is coming down with a cold. She was happy shopping the markets with us this morning. But when we went to help at the community gardens working bee she wouldn't let me put her down.

I took her home fed her some Mango, read a book and she was out to it by 10:30.

Gave the house a well needed clean and tidy this morning. Finished making Christmas pudding which is boiling on the stove. Then wrapping Christmas presents. And enjoying my weekend off :)

Today....took miss4 to the doc after she was up most of the night crying in pain, she has an ear infection.  :(
Had a friend turn up so she stayed for lunch, and other than that just normal housework!  :)

Poor thing Astarra. Hope she feels better soon. We are all a bunch of sickos. Colds here and DH a touch of gastro. Stands to reason, now we are on holidays.

Astarra and INAID I hope your children recover quickly.

Bonsai you do have lovely work mates. Some lovely useful things in your hamper.

I didn't do much today. DD and I went shopping. We had a win with some cookbooks. Big W had a 3 for 2 deal. So instead of buying the one we were going to share, we bought 3. They are now wrapped and under the tree to stop either of us looking through them.
Goofed off the rest of the day and only did the washing and dinner. I did make some custard to go in an icecream cake tomorrow for Christmas.

Hope the little ones are better.

No CC, no boiler yet, engineer here now...... No baths tonight. Not what we need.

Cleaned house almost all day. 4 bathrooms, landing, bootroom and got 3/4 way through our bedroom and ran out of steam, it is all major post builders cleaning. Really hard going, especially as I was boiling kettles for hot water. Last tradesmen come tomorrow to put second stove in, as they left o n Monday. Tradies Restart again 6 jan, for floors, boxing in bathroom pipes, and more plastering, plus the final electrics so we might have bedside lights ( look forward to that) but we are making progress.

Just had steak for dinner, with sweet corn and the leftover veg from last night. Topped off with a mini mince pie from Waitrose. DS ate the leftover Jaffa bread and butter pudding. DS says Christmas is all about the food and company, so that sets the bar rather high for the cook.

Dashed out at 4 pm and picked up the two bathroom blinds as the curtain shop now on hol til 6 jan and I do hope to paint the bathrooms before then, and DH put up the blinds.
Also finally got a Christmas tree. Bring it in tomorrow after the stove is done. Then another major clean of that room so we can use it with bare plaster on the day...... Plus the dining room is still to clear. .....

Right now I fancy a BBQ Xmas in Aussie... Be a lot easier and much warmer.

You got lots done DJ - no wonder you ran out of steam.

The Christmas break is a bit annoying with everything closing down. You will have to post a photo of your tree once it is in the house. We would all like to see your birthday present.

I would have run out of steam way before this DJ so you have done well.  Just relax for a few days and enjoy Christmas Day in your new home. The tradies are having a break and you definitely deserve one too.

 :o  Busy, busy DJ!  :D

I've been and done my food shopping as soon as the supermarket opened this morning to beat the crowds of tomorrow/Tuesday.  Was able to get everything I wanted so I can take it easy now (until tomorrow when grandson/daughter arrive)  ;D

We are forecast heavy rain today.  Very heavy skies at the moment, so I hope it happens  :)
