Sounds lovely Hally.
You are one busy gal DJ. Don't forget to stop and rest a little.
Lovely hamper Bonsai.
Well yesterday went much better. Forgot to clean the potato box and found a few escapee ants in there. Bit of cooking and then bam....dropped my favourite Pyrex jug on the tiles. What a mess. Who'd have known one little jug could break up into so many pieces. At least I have a reason to go into the Boxing Day sales now 😉

Verandah cleaned by DH. Poor thing he isn't well. Bathroom upstairs done and bi fold doors wiped down. Meal plan done for the week. I just need to pick up a couple of extra things and then I'm done.
Community garden Christmas party this afternoon. Baking if I have time.

You all sound so busy. I am tidying the house today, part done. I did all the shopping for food early Friday and tomorrow early I will pop out to the grocer and get lovely fresh salad stuff and fruit. Tomorrow is cooking up eggs , potatoes etc and making jellies and custard. Then Tuesday I make all the salads, trifle etc for lunch on Christmas Day. I love Christmas and doing the food for it. We have all cold food so absolutely no cooking here on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day. I write myself big lists ( a teacher characteristic I think) and work through them.
DJ sit back over Christmas and enjoy all the things that have already been achieved. It is a lot. Congratulations.
Oh, I'm making. Vanilla icecream today and turning it into an icecream cake for Christmas Day.

I'm not a teacher but I go around in circles if I don't have lists to work through.

I love lists too. Sometimes I write things down just so I can cross them off.

Well achieved all that I wanted to, although still so much to do!
I love lists too Cookie.
DH still sick. Hope he is better tomorrow. Thankfully none of us have it. One child I nearly gave away today.
Will try and make all our dips tomorrow.

That's good INIAID.
I Don't know what's got over me lately. I've cleaned the fridge and freezer, made the Christmas crackers with the kids, tidied away all my sewing and craft stuff and tackled a few jobs I keep putting off, as well as doing a little cooking. Last week I swept up the back verandah and then my good work was destroyed as we had a big storm with strong winds. Today I roped in the kids and a couple of the neighbours kids to sweep up all the outside areas again, and clean the outdoor table and chairs too.
Must be because Christmas is at our house this year
BTW I'm not a list girl by nature, but I think I need one this week

You will ES with all those visitors. Did you have to bribe all the kids to do the sweeping
Inaid I hope your DH turns the corner soon and I'm glad to hear no-one else has come down with it yet.
Today I went out for my last luncheon before Christmas with Katie and her DH, lovely meal and it was nice to catch up with them both before Christmas.

As I'm up early again, I will wrap presents this morning. Was going to do them last night but I loose motivation as the day goes on.
Luckily DH has wrapped about half already.

Well, 3 hours later and I'm done. I listened to SBS weather as I was wrapping, they were playing Christmas carols.
This is a before and after of my storeroom. I must say I prefer the nice empty clear space that is usually there. The hamper I won at work is in there too because of the chocolates - it's lovely and cool.

I have to say, I threw caution to the wind and used up the wrapping paper I've had for years. Usually I theme it to match the tree. I still have loads left.
This year, no matter what the occasion every gift will be wrapped in Christmas paper -birthdays, engagements farewell and baby showers - even if I have to turn it inside out to use the white side and add a bow.
