Looking after our two youngest GC, five & seven, so their parents can attend a family funeral.

Ironing this morning. I might have a read this afternoon as most things are up to date. I have a good book on the go at the moment.

Dentist this morning but all was OK thank goodness. Cookie I was buying some ice cream last night to go with our fish and chips when the young girl behind me in the checkout asked if the ice cream was because my team lost. Didn't know about footy results at the time as I don't follow but she told me that's what she was doing (instead of drinking I suppose). I don't usually buy either the ice cream or the junk food but there you are.

I've been in to visit Geoff and Mum as I normally do every day but today was rather special as a friend of Geoff's who lives in California who was visiting family here was there spending some time with  Geoff when I arrived.  They were both wrapped with their time together reminiscing about the days when he was Geoff's apprentice butcher.  Mick has always said Geoff was a great role model for him and he has kept in touch for many years, always making time to visit him in Adelaide.

Judy, that is so lovely. For somebody to rake time out of their holiday to visit is a testament to the friendship he feels for Geoff. Definately a feel good moment. We don't get enough of them these days.

Yes Katj, it's lovely that people care enough to brighten someone's day.  It was great for both of them though, he was quite surprised how good Geoff looked.

I told Geoff a couple of weeks ago and he read Mick's email but I hadn't mentioned it since just in case it didn't happen.  I think he'd forgotten but he certainly hadn't forgotten Mick.

That is lovely Judy. A true friend.

I promise I will be fully back soon. Seems I am very social at the minute. Be bored stupid in a week for sure.

Seniors week and a free lunch tomorrow at the Hilton .

Nearly finished getting this new home into shape.

Gert, good to hear your social life is so busy  - make the most of it. The Hilton, that should be a nice meal.
