Have been cleaning out the fridge.  I've been keeping hold of lots of flavoured salts, condiments etc (made in the tm) that take up room and which I haven't used for a while,  so today I decided to clear them out.

I get so excited sometimes by what I can make in the TM, that I don't think it through as to whether it's something I will use a lot.  I seem to end up with jars of stuff I never seem to go back to  :-))  What I've kept I will make a consious effort to use up until they're gone.  Am going to be more selective as to what I make.  I am also determined to do the same with the freezer.  It's ridiculous that I have so much stuff when there are only 2 of us.  I need a kick up the backside.  ;D

I know exactly what you mean Julie as in the early days I did the same.  I'm not as bad now but still have far too much in the pantry and freezer especially.  At times I try and substitute what I have rather than buying what the recipe specifies.

I need the kick up the backside too Julie. My fridge seems to have jars of bits and pieces everywhere. I'm the one that usually has to finish them off. It adds several 100 calories to my normal eating pattern, but I'm not complaining at all.

my big test will be when we shift to our new, smaller place. Not that much smaller except for fridge space. Going from 2 fridges to 1 is going to be hard, as the 1 fridge is a bit smaller than our current biggest one. I will be close to shops though, so I will be changing the way I do things. I will also be closer to my DD so she will probably get more baked stuff instead of it going in the freezer.

I have one fridge, it's not that big. We had a pigeon pair, but then the freezer died.

One fridge here that is crammed full.  I would love another freezer.

When we go to Monkey Mia we take a chest freezer. I tend to almost fall in it, I usually ask DH to get things out if they aren't near the top.
