I’m trying a new recipe using wonton wrappers to make ravioli.

Thank you all for being so caring , my migraines seem to hit hard lately but all good now . Been very windy and boys out fencing . Do a super large shop on Friday , now to find more room to put it away . Kitten up date is now at our back door , so pleased to be out chasing anything that moves ! School holidays started DS very happy to not be in class all day . Seems a ritual has started , DS cleans his room out each holidays ! Concerned what is in two black bags , but happy that he is helping . I am Feeling rather uninspired to do anything lately.

K Atie, sometimes we just run out of energy or need a break.  Take it easy until your energy levels are back up again.

KAtie, we all feel like this at times, then the energy returns. Find a strategy that helps you. Now  I read when this happens. When I was working full time, I would spend a day in bed.  It usually happened at Xmas when we had a house full of visitors. They would come into the bedroom and look at me and ask if I was ill. I was just exhausted. Bit embarrassing but necessary.
Today, I will try and do the cooking I have been trying to do for days.

We have decided to have our house carpeted, we have only had carpet in the lounge area and it is starting to look a bit tatty, the rest is wooden flooring.   The carpet man came this morning to measure up.  We have no firm quote yet but will probably go ahead any way.  We will need to have the work done a couple of rooms at a time so that the furniture can be moved around.  A big job but a good time for a big clean out.

The curtain man is coming this afternoon to measure up for new net curtains in the lounge  as well.

It is a great time to do some culling Margaret and the disruption to the home during the laying will be worth it in the end.

Good on you, Margaret, what a difference the carpet will make.  Half our place is cork flooring or tiling, the rest carpet.  It is the first time we have had carpet for years and years and years and it really feels luxurious under our feet - you will love it

Walked into the village to buy onions. Our lane was being resurfaced and seeing it was a beautiful sunny day I thought it was a great way to get some exercise and shop. It was great going down to the village because it was all downhill but coming back I huffed and puffed a bit up the hill. 😂

That's the trouble with hills, CC, one direction is always easier than the other.  I am not so fond of going uphill but, unfortunately, we are near the top of a slope so it is always just a bit more of slog on the home stretch.

Bet you were glad to reach your house on the return journey Denise, hopefully the roadworks won’t inconvenience you for too much longer. When I was 70 my SIL and DD took me and his Mum to Hanging Rock (near where Chookie used to live, we ended up calling in on them afterwards) and we oldies thought we were never going to make it to the top. We did though and were quite proud of our efforts.
