DS oh holidays, DH picked him up ... staying at MILs . As kids grow our perspective of holidays change . All I’d like is to have time together , but I’m very pleased that he can have time with his mates and see an amazing part of the world . DD is still at uni , and catching up with friends exploring shops in the city today after uni . Thankful that life seems to be getting back to a good times for them . DH did the shopping... we might starve with this input ... DH response oh well I’ll get everything on Sunday morning ( hot tip DH no shops are open at 6 am Sunday !! To funny men ) . Also they will have to get up at 4.30 am to be ready to go at 5 am on Sunday .. DS said he would get night hours !! Classic .

K Atie, understand about juggling COVID exposure. Ral to have COVID test on Monday then isolate until op on Wednesday. I suppose I have to isolate also. DS coming up from Melbourne, but can’t come until Ral’s in Hospital.

Chookie, that is exactly the same routine that DH and I are following this week as well prior to his operation on Wednesday, except that I will be in the shop, but masked up to the nines and I'll RAT test as well to make sure on Tuesday - I am terrified of this new strain that has just entered Australia and don't want to jeopardise DH's operation.

Yeah Chookie.

I read today that most cases over here are the Omicron BA 2.  DD informed me it’s been like that for a while. I do hope Mr Marina and Ral stay totally Covid free until their ops.

I totally agree with that sentiment cookie.

Chookie, did you do anything different when posting the photo?

That's good news, Cookie, it is such a relief to get all these big challenging chores completed.

Cookie, I have always admired how you have coped with doing your MIL’s Public Trustee reports. A heavy responsibility.  Well done.
Yesterday we had motors fitted to our 2 garage doors.  They now slide up at the touch of a button. The installers also added a couple of additional switches.  I gave then each a bottle of jam.  They gave a colourful description of how they would enjoy it with damper while camping, over Easter. I think I enjoyed it as much as them seeing the pleasure it gave them.
Ral’s prep today for op tomorrow. Returned negative COVID test.

That’s good to hear Chookie, now for a successful operation.  Sending love and best wishes to Ral for tomorrow, glad DS is going to be there for you.

Cookie your MIL may be sadly missed but those annual reports you’ve done for so long will certainly not be. You and your DH were a great team by providing the support that was needed.

Thank you kindly ladies. You have born the brunt of my complaining over the last 12 years, thank you.

All the best for Ral tomorrow, I will be thinking of you all. You will love your automated doors Chookie.  I'm sure the installers appreciated the jam.

We arranged MIL's tax return this morning. DH is hoping to get everything into Probate soon and then we will get a lawyer to sort things from there. A friend has recommended one to us which us wonderful. I managed to squeeze the ironing in as well.

Wishing Ral the best for tomorrow.
Had a nice catch up with our quilting group, been so long since we all caught up . Grabbed washing off line when returned as everyone is burning the stubble long black ashes all over the grass .. thankfully nothing on clothes and no smell . So so dry at the moment who could believe that north so so wet will they get to put crop in ,so dry south are we in for drought !! But selfishly I am enjoying these last warm days and think the cold night will be freezing.
