Thinking of you and Ral today, Bess.

Everyone else is sounding busy, there always seems to be so much to do.

I am looking forward to the Easter break and planning to take the week between Easter and ANZAC off for a holiday - that's a big joke; I will believe that when it happens - it is not looking likely at the moment as my workload is horrible just now, but I will take it most of it up to Guildford with me and tackle it a little at time.

Thanks for your good wishes everyone, from my side.  DH got home about 3.00 pm with a very large bandage on his hand - he looks more like a boxer than anything else. Pain killers and / or anesthetic haven't worn off yet.

Dr’s very pleased will results of Ral’s op. 3 1/2 hours of a very complicated mess. I’m glad that I had DS with me as it was far longer than anyone expected. He will be in hospital for quite some time.
Marina, I’m very pleased that your DH is home after his op. Hope he can rest up over Easter. His hands are very important to him in the amazing work that he does.

Pleasing news about Ral and Mr Marina. Hopefully they have been able to sort out Ral's complicated mess Chookie. Love to him.
Marina how long will your DH be all wrapped up?
I popped down to a place that sells flours for bread making this morning. I had run out of rye flour. I also bought some artisan white flour that was grown up where I grew up. They said it has a lovely flavour.

Good to read both DH’s ops went well, thanks for your posting ladies. Wishing them both a quick as possible recovery.

Loads of washing. DS fixed issues I was having with printer.
Bee man came to say he was going to remove our bee hive. We rent it from him and he services it. We are very disappointed but he has his hands full servicing the Almond orchards. We will look at getting some native bees.
DS has been “ working from home “ while staying with me. He says our internet connection is very good. It should be as he set it up for us.
DS will do the hospital visit today. 1 person for up to 2 hours.

DH and I thank you for your kind wishes and thoughts.  His hand will be pretty well out of action for c. 6-8 weeks.  He can still do many things and is determined and very independent so he will be back to his normal self as soon as he can 'will' it better.

Bess, what a huge operation Ral had, but we are so relieved that things are looking better for him and hope he gets out of hospital soon.  It is always better to be at home.  Give him our hugs and kisses. 2 hours is a good, long visiting time - can you split it into two visitors of one hour each?

You will miss your bees.  Do the native ones need the same attention or is it a different routine with them?

Put DS to good use whilst you have him Chookie, it’s such a bonus having them come to stay and they’re always willing to do what needs to be done.  He in turn will love his Mum’s cooking even though his wife is a great cook too.

From my experience during Covid Marina, 1 visitor at a time is the limit, no shift sharing was allowed. We were only allowed 2 names on my visiting list so they worked out when they would each come. Things might have changed in the past 18 months. 

You certainly will miss your bees Chookie.

Sad about the bees Chookie. Hospitals and aged care homes are very strict with the visitors. Are you able to phone Ral Chookie?

I did a bit of housework this morning and the sheets and towels washed. It's beautiful weather here at the moment. 26-28 degree days and 15 roughly over night.
Marina I hope your DH doesn't have any trouble keeping himself occupied.
