Thanks again for all the good wishes. It does really mean a lot.
They are very strict with the visitors. No splitting shifts. Ral has his iPhone and rings me regularly. Today the hospital phone service broke down. The nurses used Rals phone to contact me.
I’m so lucky to have DS staying. He will go home tomorrow. DD  and GS will be on standby.

Glad you have family around Chookie .
We are going to DH nephews wedding today, whole weekend at Geelong . Zipped out to get coffee Croissant to have in our room . Beautiful day bumped into groom lucky as found out the wedding is at a very similar n name in opposite direction. Only a short walk either way , thankful.
DD travelled all the way from college which was no mean feet due to many changeovers and a pick up at the end . Great to have this wedding fourth time lucky , they booked the Celebrant in 2019 ..

My brother and his wife came over this morning. I had made Hot Cross Buns and let them rise in the fridge overnight. I baked them this morning so that they were fresh. Not too bad.

Lots of cleaning and sorting stuff for op shop. Lots of well worn towels for the Guide Dog puppies. Hospital visiting.

Just back in Guildford after two days in Bendigo.  Bendigo was heaving - it was their first 'annual' Easter Fare for two years and they really went to town.  You could barely move and so many roads were closed, so, between that and the big Elvis exhibition, we were kept occupied.  Actually, we couldn't get near the Elvis display so perhaps look at going there in a couple of months before it moves on.

Good that you are able to keep in contact with Ral, Bess.  Hope his recovery is going well.  If my one handed DH can help you with anything, please let me know.

The Elvis exhibition sounds great Marina. I'd love to see it but I'm fairly sure it isn't coming over this way.

 People are so keen to get out and about again that it doesn’t surprise me that all events are well attended Marina.  Don’t forget to put the Elvis display visit on your calendar as we all know how quickly a couple of months can go don’t we?  You’re lucky to have it in your area, I haven’t heard of it coming to Adelaide.

Lunchtime Wedding was beautiful and lots to eat , exceptional weather . Out for dinner all the wedding party and guests . Today we saw the family and then left for home . Dropped MIL home and we got back to our kittens they were pleased we were home .

Our next door neighbour also visited the Elvis exhibition. She said it was great.
 Marina, thanks for the generous offer. We are just having to let time proceed with Rals healing. The hospital staff are wonderful. Even gave me a cup of tea yesterday.
DD wanted to make a carrot cake but didn’t have most of the ingredients. I did.  She has only one recipe book!! Uses the internet . Before TMX I used to make a classic carrot cake but we couldn’t find the recipe. Probably made during my Vegetarian/ hippie phase. Hunza Pie, anyone?

It is easier using the internet for recipes Chookie, it saves wading through books and print outs. You know you have that recipe but finding it is difficult sometimes and going online is quicker. There’s only one more recipe book I will buy and that will be Nagi’s when it’s released.  I’ll read it then pass it over to DD, do we need it - no, not really but I just think she is a wonderful caring lady and I want her book to be a best seller in appreciation for sharing her recipes with us for free for so long and the work she does with the underprivileged.

 Find Nagi amazing. She left a corporate position to cook. She has done so well and deserves everything she has.

A friend brought over some lawn runners for DD’s house. So it was all hands on deck to plant that.

I agree with all said for Nagi,  told DD to look at her recipe first. She did this but wanted a simpler recipe.
Ral watching footy on TV today.  Must be feeling better.
Feeling very smug.  Big clean out. Vito van full of stuff for op shop.

DH has been out to JP’s and goodness knows what else preparing MIL’s will for probate. I stayed out of the way. 😀😀😀😀😀😀
