Well, I've just found a rat in my chookyard. Any wonder the eggs are missing and chookies are not so happy.

It     was     big.  :o    And    I    do   not    like    rats    at    all.

I came back to the house to put my 'big girl panties' on. You know the ones - could sail off into the sunset if you attached them to the mast of your yacht? Anyway, armed with 2 dogs, big girl panties firmly in place, a long handled shovel and a deep breath, I shift the wheat bin.

There's the rat looking at me with those big evil eyes. It bared its teeth, swished its tail, jumped over the dogs, pounced off my leg and disappeared. Me - I screamed like a girl, threw the shovel, yelled at the dogs, leapt around like a woman possessed and I vow and declare those big girl panties are absolutely bloody useless! (except for sailing off into the sunset maybe).

So, after another deep breath I regrouped, patted the dogs, rearranged the panties, filled in the hole with numerous rat baits, put everything back into place and have come inside for a calming cuppa - laced liberally with something very strong.

Did I mention I hate rats?

Oh No Suzanne, that is not an option at all.
The rat will go...eventually.
I may go through many boxes of rat bait and numerous pairs of big girl panties, but that rat will leave this earth before I do!
I might just go to town and stock up on the essentials this arvo... vodka, rat bait and big girl panties.  ;D

Nikkit - I love your stories!  Poor rat!  He's probably undergoing emergency counselling and being treated for severe emotional shock and trauma!!  He could probably do with a sip or two of "I'll have what she's having . . .!"  ;D ;D ;D
