Catching up on things after being away for four days looking after 4 grandchildren.

Had a handy man in this morning to look at a leak under the floor in the ensuite.  Looks like we need to cut a hole in the wall to get to it. >:( Don't know why it wasn't found during the building inspection.

Hoping to get some cookies made before a friend arrives for a cuppa.
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

We've been to the movies today - it's DS's birthday today.
Then it has been a fairly quiet afternoon at home with the kids.

Nikkit you and spotty horse are  marvellous. You must have an incredible rapport with him/her.

Mab, if it is found to be an existing problem when you purchased the property, take it up with the builder that did the inspection. If he was negligent in finding this fault then he should be liable for repairs.

Awwwww thanks cookie  :D
We do get on pretty well - I know it sounds funny - but he does love me. He gives me kisses, loves sharing his dinner with me - usually down the back of my neck and in my hair - but he does share. I have to share with him - he loves whatever I am eating, especially silverside and salad rolls  :o And my beer - he does like a beer on a hot day. He has it sussed now, slobbering all over the top of my stubby guarantees the rest is for him.  :-))
The biggest thing I have learned is to trust him, and he trusts me - so we're a team.  ;D

I went to a Horse Agility clinic yesterday with my spotty horse. He jumped through hoops, walked on a bridge, stepped up onto a podium, carried a bag of cans, was rubbed all over by a tarp plus a whole lot more "scary stuff" and took everything in his stride until it came to walking through pool noodles dangling from a frame. He wasn't overly impressed with that - but when I walked through it he figured it didn't hurt Mum, so he did it too. He has never done any of it before, so I was really happy he trusted me with all the unusual things he had to do.
And to top off our day I won the "Horsemanship Award" which not-so-quietly-I'm-gonna-toot-my-own-trumpet I am so proud of me!!! It reinforces the fact that I have done so much with this horse and we have come such a long way together and I am thrilled that people that I have never met before can see that.  ;D

Congratulations on your win Nikkit. It sounds as though you have a very special bond with your horse ;D

Congratulations nikkit :)

Doctors appointment today to sort knee problem out. Of course the only time was after school and kinder, so along came DS5 and DS4.  They sat perfectly in the corner playing angry birds on mums phone whilst I spoke with the doctor. The only complaint came when I said it was time to leave! The things you do for good behaviour :D
