At 6 years old she was very happy to be starting. As to her name, either Ma-Rye-Ka or Ma-Rye-Kuh, not to be confused with Ma-Ree-Ka.

The ei sounds like eye (ei alone means egg, eier means eggs, and is also used to refer to men's testicles)

I think its wonderful to make a celebration out of starting school Rob. I wished I had thought of that, so I will have to remember for my grandkids.

I like Ma-Ree-Ka.  :D

Packing DS bag for a 3 day urban camp for 3 days.....we certainly didn't have camps in primary school with cool activities like these kids do   8)
....and finally after waiting for months, we're seeing PINK tomorrow night  . Can't wait!!!
on the way we might check out Costco...see what it's about....although....I might sneakily get hubby to go a little way around the corner and go to "The Works"  8) It's a bed bath & table outlet, also filled with mega amounts of kitchenware  ;)

My DD 18 is going to Melbourne to see Pink this weekend. :D
She saw her here and is going to 2 of her concerts in Melbourne.
She is a Pink fanatic and was lucky enough to have met her.
She received her air tickets from DH and I for her birthday and her parents bought her the concert tickets.

Have fun Maddy. Haven't heard of "the works" but it's sounds like my kind of store. Hope you make it there. Can't wait to hear about it too!

I must have missed something Robyn - who's in hospital? Hope it's not serious...
Quick trip into the city to see my financial advisers, update them on job situation etc. Picked up a handbag while I was there, must not do any more shopping!! Grocery run this afternoon, also picked up an electric hot water bottle to replace my old fill-up-with-water one which sprung a major leak in the middle of the night. Yes folks, I wet the bed! (Well sort of). I'll be sleeping in the spare room tonight, give the mattress a chance to dry out.
