Katj, glad you enjoyed your Brunch. We have been to that Cafe several times and really enjoyed it.  When we lived in Melb Puckle St. was our shopping centre .
And yes it has been freezing.  We now live an hour north of Melb and had snow on and off yesterday.
We spent some time in the garden today and it was even sunny.

Gert, block your eyes. The snow must be exciting Chookie. Does it damage the garden like frost?

Cookie, we don't get a heavy enough fall to weigh down branches which does a lot of damage.  Mostly the things we can grow are not effected by the snow or frost.  The Kale seems to enjoy it.

Have just planted 4 Peonies, 12 potato onions and 1 blue Berry bush.
Also, while having morning coffee saw a fox trotting through the orchard. Glad I hadn't let the chooks out. !
Made lovely smokey Egg Plant dip in TMX.

I had to ask Mr Google what Potato onions were! https://www.google.com.au/search?q=potato+onions&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en-gb&client=safari
They look interesting.

Cookie, I use the tops for garnish. The little bulbs on the top can be planted and grow new onions.  When I have a lot of the top bulbs I stuff them into a chicken with garlic and ginger.

I didn't know what they were either Cookie thanks for asking Mr.Google.

It sounds a versatile onion to grow Chookie.

New baby cuddles at the P&C meeting this morning :)
Then I found out what my birthday present is for next week. I don't deal well with surprises so DH gave me a few days warning that we have dinner reservations on Sunday, at Rockpool. Can't wait to check out the Neil Perry steakhouse experience!

Me too Chookie, I get so anxious.

Mr 7 is disappointed that he isn't invited for dinner so I am planning a little family party on Wednesday night when he gets home from his Dad's.
Smokey BBQ Beef Ribs and Devils Food cake, any excuse!!

I love it CC. Thanks. I believe you get very wet when you are on a lugger. The ones in Broome used for pearl diving certainly were like that.
Love the photo.  :-*
