It's a real mystery Marina & Chookie, wearing a bra for more than a few hours has the same affect on my back as well.

I will wade on in here if i may.
Not for a bad back really. But for sore muscle/ strained back etc.
Go to a saddlery or produce store and buy a tube of Rapid Gel. It is fantastic stuff. Nothing sinister in it, just camphor, menthol etc. Horses have far more sensitive skin than us, like dogs. So safe for them is usually safe for us. It is fabulous stuff. My saddlery sells more for people use than horsey use,:). My only complaint is that i have to hide it or i never have any if the horses need it, my hubby and my soccer mad son are always pinching it.

I will jump in also.  You can buy patches from some Chinese food shops that contain the same stuff. Very good for strains.

Sharon I had a chuckle there. A friend who lives  in Bullsbrook has horses and she buys quite a lot of stuff like that. She said the things she buys are food grade but so much cheaper that way. I think Coconut oil is one.

I do t know about the food grade. However horses are far more sensitive than us. Thats why they die from colic (indegestion to us)  because they cant vomit.
Horse skin like dogs is very sensitive. So most shampoos. Medications (topical) etc are suitable to peope with sensitive skin also.

Go get a really good deep tissue massage from a Remedial therapist, not a beauty therapist. :)

:)  I love Zen tincture, I use it on clients, and us of course. You can get it from chemists, or IGA :D

Could be the height of the bench, or a chair. I should live closer.

Thanks for all the advice girls. Considering I did lifting of DH for over 20 years and I'm still able to move furniture or do heavy work around the house or yard,  I'm lucky in that I only need to sit down for 1/2 hour and I'm fine again when my 'kitchen back' kicks in.  I have 4 appointments a year with a physiotherapist who really gets stuck into me, it's certainly nothing like an enjoyable, relaxing massage at Endota or such places.  It's the old story, no pain, no gain.

Youth is wasted on the young Judy.
Bri g on Benjamin Button I say.
I always find a good sit in a spa bath fixes mine. Sadly we dont have one any more so painful massage does me too. Not as nice.

I had to google Benjamin Button Sharon, obviously I missed that movie. Yes I agree with you, sitting in a spa with the jets pointed in the direction of the pain is a nice way to go but I've only been able to do that on a cruise ship.  I do have a recliner with a  massager built into it but last time I used it, the motor made a funny noise and I was scared it was going to blow up so I haven't used it since.  Maybe it's time to try it again.

The place we are moving too in a few weeks has a spa, I'm really looking forward to using it. Judy I also get a sore back if I'm in the kitchen too long. I can't blame the height of the bench tops, they were made for a tall person and a bit higher than regular. I am 5'6 1/2" and the height is perfect for me. I think it's more about standing for a long time without moving much.

I have had that said to me Katj.  A friend even suggested I sit down on a stool or something to do the prep work but I would find that too restrictive.  Thankfully I don't have too many long cooking sessions these days.

We had a spa bath in our previous house.  Sadly not in this house.

The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.
