Out for Afternoon Tea with 5 Probus girls. None of them like cooking. I said I love to cook as I find it creative. One said to me, once you turn 80 you won’t want to cook any more. I said I’m 86 next month. I hope I’ll be cooking for a few more years.

Went to very special birthday luncheon on Friday . Saturday was huge we had our local farm to pub (now pool) run walk ( swim ). I helped to take registrations and then took over doing the raffle takings . While people ordered bbq food . There till 8.30 pm Big day but lovely catch up and get community event . The weather was not great very windy but all good . Yesterday DH and I went on a drive visited an interior decorator shop , coffee, a great Iga supermarket, fish and chips by the sea . A national reserve saw two Kolas ( very excited to see them ) and two hugs emus . A dash to Bunnings . Home late .

Still having difficulty with having Solar connected to electricity company. There are so many links in the chain of communication, I can’t find out who is not doing their bit.

Solar admin finally on the move. I said I wouldn’t pay the recent bill until they sorted it out.
Zoom meeting with dietitian and 6 others. It is hilarious. Then out to pictures with Probus. They supply a boxed lunch.

I did the grocery shopping this morning.

I had a visit to the podiatrist this morning and had planned to do my shopping after. However our budgie was unwell and needed to visit the vet. She has a tummy infection and has to have antibiotics. Visitors this afternoon so the shopping had to wait.

Did a bit of shopping with DD . We got DS new bedding for uni as he upgrades to a double bed !!

Visiting friend to help her understand how to cook/ bake in her AF. Scones and spring rolls , to start.

I managed to get the shopping done this morning. Our budgie is certainly feeling better, she is into everything and everywhere. I lost her 3 times this morning. Once she was in DD’s bathroom, another time under the lounge and the third time in the pantry. No more leaving doors open and food uncovered around here.

I am very annoyed.  A week ago, in an effort to encourage myself to build up my low stamina, I purchased a simple pedometer.  I was doing well with it, even got up to 5,000+ steps one day - which is good for me considering my sedentary job.  Anyway, today I was determined to blow my step count out of the water - I had a trip to Ikea and other shopping to do around the mall as well as down the street and was really excited to check my daily tally ... 66 steps!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  It looks like the battery went flat before I could get a good reading.  I've got it on charge again now and it looks like I may have to go back to Ikea or do some more shopping tomorrow
