Thanks!! I'm a little nervous. But I'm normally good at copying things. I'm not very imaginative, but I can make good copies of htings. Hopefully that stands for cake making... :-S

I'm especially excited, because I get to buy the cake decorating goodies that I've wanted for ages but had no need for. The Wilton Cake Decorating caddy is only $48 from Amazon, and $20 postage, so still cheaper than the >$120 in Aus. And there's a few other things I'm going to buy as well, like the large fondant rolling pin, and the Wilton mat which has the circle measurements and stuff on it (I don't NEED this, but it's only an extra $8 to the Amazon order, so I may as well...). I love having an excuse to shop.

And no, the fact that I'm going to be spending more on the cake decorating equipment than on a professionally made cake isn't lost on me, but it is something that I've been attempting to do for a long time, and I have a very strong interest in it, so I'd like to think that I'll be using them a lot

Thanks ladies  ;D I have been watching my food intake very carefully. Having herbal tea to fend of cravings and having minimal pasta and rice!

I'm happy because my mum braided my hair last night and it looks really nice :D
And while she was doing it, she told me some old family stories. Some of them were sad, but it was nice to hear them and learn more about my family history :)

My girls love when I braid their hair. I had to wait for years for them to have long enough hair for me to braid it. They were both born bald and took 3 years Before they had much at all :)

That's lovely Amy.  Now write down as many stories as you can remember and keep them safe.  One day you will be the keeper of all those memories.

I wish I had kept a record of the stories from my mum and MIL.  Now they are gone and I can't ask any more.

Its been quite a while since I could do anything like this with my hair either Mandi. I shaved it off to raise money for the Leukamia Foundation a couple of years ago, and I'm starting to play with it a bit more now that its a good length :)

I will Merrilyn, but I won't forget these stories. They have been swimming around my head all night.
I think I wil buy a nice journal to write them in :)
