What book are you reading?

I am rereading Cross Stitch/Outlander by Diana Gabaldon, gearing up for the TV series later in the year.  Cannot wait!

Is Cross Stitch the first or fourth book in the series?  I have just been on the Amazon site and in one place it says it is book one, in another area it says it is book four ... I am confused!

I am just about to finish Cross Stitch and start on the second book in the series.  I find I have been having trouble putting the book down, so I may have to take a wee "catch up on everything I haven't done for the past two weeks" break before starting on book 2.

I loved that series  Cuilidh and found it difficult to put the books down once I started. I didn't know about the TV series and will eagerly await it.

At the moment I am reading Philomena by Martin Sixsmith. I loved the movie with Judy Dench and thoroughly enjoying this heart wrenching true story.

I've recently started reading Kurt Vonnegut's Slaughterhouse 5. It is a bit strange but interesting.

I have recently finished The Keeper of Lost Causes by Jussi Adler-Olsen. A mystery of a different kind, with funny characters, set in Denmark. My recent bookclub book was The Invention of Wings, which was confronting but good. I have also recently finished Dust by Hugh Howey, the final in his Wool series.

I'm almost finished Concealed in Death by JD Robb. It is her latest. I then have to refresh my memory with Gone Girl. I have read it but it is our book club book for this month.

Have just finished The Winter Sea by Di Morrissey (light story) and now starting Educating Alice by Alice Greenup (true story about a Melbourne girl going to live in outback QLD).

Thanks to whoever it was that recommended Wonder. I really enjoyed it and have suggested it as our next book club book.

I've also just finished The Life and Times of The Wicked Witch of the West - I do not recommend it! It was patchy as to the story, poorly written, and felt very rushed at the end in trying to marry the revisionary story with the real story.
