hi Jadey

i am fine, in fact i am impressed how easy it has been.  .... had a bit of a hick up last week though, i had a bladder infection .... nothing to do with the banding ... this is a side effect with me every time i have anesthetics. so that was a bit of a bummer and i actually gained a bit of weight ... it was more than likely fluid retention thing i think. so i am on antibiotics for 10 day .... i have 4 days left.

i am doing 1/2 hour walks every second day .... and 1/2 sessions walking in the town pool. i am also back at work
and i am at 13.5kg loss atm.

i am eating bigger size meals (3/4 - 1 cup portions) and i am at the "minced/ stewed phase" and i have been allowed to add pasta and rice just over cooked to make sure it is soft enough.

i am quite shocked at the change in my brain already in my desires towards food. normally i would eat meals and pick at food as the day goes on as i am a cook. i am the type of person, even though i am not hungry, if i was to see little quiches or muffins or slice, ... i would think hmmm they look nice and try it  even when cutting up fruit and vegies for recipes i nibble === atm the moment i am like --- oh no way i am already full; i am not hungry at all and am actually reminding myself to eat .... so i am currently in what they refer to as a "green zone" and you change into yellow zones (this is when you are hungry and your small meals are not satisfying anymore. ) and you need to have the band topped up with fluid ( through a little portal that is under my skin just to the left of my belly button. they just use a needle to inject it ).... i am booked in for my first "fill" in 2 and a bit weeks. i am under weekly appointments of a dietitian at the moment and have a pretty strict rules to follow

as for things that i am noticing .... my shoes are looser, and my clothes at looser, i had a bath the other night and i could feel more water between my hips and the bath sides. and my hubby give me a kiss the other nigh on my neck from behind (i was at the computer desk  ;) ) and he was like oohhh you feel different.  ;D. i laughed and said it will be like you have a new woman to touch and feel soon.
as long as you keep eating my pancakes .....i will stand here and keep flippin them out filled with nothing but love in my heart 'cause you chose my table to sit at =)P

Oh, I've completely missed all this! Must have been when we lost our niece and I was off air for a while.

Great to hear it's going well albeit with a slight hiccough, PAP! Definitely need to change the name skinnyasspixie is perfect! From PAP to SAP

Hope that all continues the way it should and you keep losing weight and feeling great. I have a couple of friends who've had lap bands and they've never looked back. One is a 21 yo guy. I just love seeing how he's so happy and confident now.
A great cook is one who can rustle up a fabulous family meal with some freezer burnt chops, wilted carrots, sprouting potatoes and cabbage that's gone brown on the cut edges.

ok forum buddies ..... heres the deal .... when i get to a 25 kg loss (which is half way to the surgeon and dietitian goals) .... i will cocoon from PAP TO SAP =)p.  BUT i am only still at the grub stage ... so while things are moving quickish atm ... i am sure i will plateau somewhere in my journey.
