Kimmyh I've had him 4 years now, he's 8. I fell in love with his bottom...not really the best way to buy a horse I can tell you! He'd been a show horse from a baby til he was 4. When I bought him he really didn't have any idea what to do other than look pretty, so I had to teach him to be a "real" horse. I ate a fair amount of dirt, got sand in my knickers and had plenty of bruises, but we now love each other to bits! He trusts me and I trust him and we both know what we can and can't do, although he is cheeky and tests me at any given opportunity. And he just loves "playing" with cows, he's not the greatest cutting horse, but we have a lot of fun.

I do have another horse in the paddock, Jamie - he's a 22 year old Standard Bred. Now retired and running the place. My vet tells me he's doing very well for his age, but then so the old bugger should - he gets all the good food, has arthritis injections over winter and is just loving life. He's a funny old boy, I can only 'love' him with cuddles when he is sedated. (Twice a year when his teeth are done) and he won't talk to me when he comes to,  as he knows I have given him 6 months work of love in half an hour!
