I bought myself a Veggetti spiral maker recently and used it for the first time today.  The other brand of spiral makers I bought before Christmas ended up going to each of the DDs.

For lunch today I made hash browns from the recipe book, so very tasty but potato isn't the easiest thing to spiral in this gadget.  I'm sure in the more expensive models it probably works better.  Will try some of the zucchini recipes, I think they will be easier although I don't expect them to taste as good as the potato does.

I made this recipe for Chilli Cheese Omelette for lunch today, will never make a plain old omelette again as I really enjoyed it.  I used a 17cm frying pan and you certainly have to have everything chopped, beaten etc, plate prepared and be ready as it is a very quick recipe. I did some steps in the TMX but chopped the herbs etc by hand.  All the prep work could all be done in the Thermomix though.

Your omelette looks delicious Judy.

There are some nice recipes on that site.  I have the Homemade Apple & Cinnamon Cake from there in the oven at the moment.

GS requested this for his birthday lunch.
BBQ steak, smashed potatoes, cauli & broccoli in cheese sauce, carrots & peas.  Birthday cake for dessert.  He went home happy. :)
