Just adding a photo of the meal which tapatalk wouldn't let me add earlier

Both kids thought it was the best home cooked meal they had ever eaten and we all ate way too much.

Wow, love your serving dishes too, just like an Indian restaurant :)

How long from start to finish?

Have you roasted small chickens on skewers, i was wondering how much food you could cook at once to feed a group.

Did you buy the cookbook too?

The more I look at your food & the website, the more I am tempted.

Hally, the bowls were on special at Aldi a few weeks ago and out local Indian uses exactly the same.

It's really hard to say start to finish because I marinated the meat in two different marindaes the night before and also made the naan bread dough and then I was cooking during the day and doing bits and pieces. It felt like a long time but I messed a few things up and had to redo and then had some visitors and was also making soup and biscuits. I used the recipes from their website for the butter chicken, tandoori and their naan but with only the barest amount of yeast added. I found their recipes to be very poorly written, so now that I know they are a winner I'll rewrite them to make them easier, I think I could also do the butter chicken pretty much all in the TMX.

We haven't cooked small chickens but did slow cook 2 lamb shoulders on a tray which was enough for about 12 with salads. We are also on a learning curve with the charcoal as we've never cooked with it before. I didn't realise they have a cookbook, we've just used recipes on their website and looked up others. Last week after cooking pizzas and once the oven had cooled a little, I just put a whole chicken in and left it to cook and the meat was so moist and tender it was fantastic for sandwiches and a pasta bake for no effort.

Have you had a look at their facebook page? they seem to update that a little more often than the website.

Thanks Wonder, I have emailed them some questions.

Do you keep yours in the same position or bring it out to,use? They are  haevy.

I might try & make the  butter chicken in the oven & see how I go. Love good butter chicken.

The cookbook might be good :)

How long was the chicken in for? Sounds like a great plan.

Thx

Just looked at their facebook page, mmm mouth watering food :)

Wonder, i am going to try the butter chicken from their website. I dont have the tandori colouring, it says it makes no difference to taste just colour. Do you use it? I have everything else, I love butter chicken but have yet to find a really good recipe.

H :)

Wow Hally. We were a bit like that after looking at the Facebook page. We love ours and think we will enjoy t even more once we are used to the charcoal a bit better. If you are buying one make sure you get the bigger size because you are limited by the size of the hole at the top.

We tend to keep ours in the same spot because we have a bench beside it for ease but its on castors so very easy to move around and we have moved it down to our back door when it was raining and we were cooking pizzas. They advise its best kept under cover.
