Oh I've only just read this thread Chookie. Sending positive vibes your (and of course DH's) way. You are so thoughtful, with what you are going through, you have even thought about how to share your adventure with us through sharing recipes - truly generous.

You are not going to believe this. I just received this morning an email from Chookie asking if I could post some of her pics and it was dated 21/08/13. Since I did not get it  I guess chookie thought I had said no. BWAAAAAAAAA! I could have been posting all this time.

Anyway I have one pic from the Spice  Market which is amazing so I will go to Tapatalk and post the one lonely pic .

So sorry chookie I did not reply. It was probably sitting in your out box all this time.

What a great photo - couldn't you just get lost in a place like this - even if you don't know what half the things are!

What a shame Chookie had trouble getting emails out of Turkey, we could have been following her journey as it happened.  Thanks Gretchen for this one picture, how colourful does that look.  Pity we don't have smellaforum  ;D

What a great photo, you can almost smell the spices.

Great photo, all those herbs and spices, can just imagine the smell.
I child-proofed my house, but they still get in!
