I liked it although I found it a little too chocolatey, though that is easy fixed.  You could probably do it with a good quality chocolate powder to make it even better.

Thought this had plenty of inspiration for new flavours to try.  Colin James shop at Maleny is fantastic!  We only tried 3 flavours of icecream between the two of us, honest.

*sigh*

All this temptation, and I can't do anything about it until we get our TMX!!!

Without knowing the mechanics of what will mix & what won't, would something like a Rocky Road sorbet work? Marshmallows, chocolate topping or icemagic and nuts, possibly mix in some condensed milk as well?

Russell.

Sounds great!  That's the beauty of reverse - you can chop to desired consistency, and then mix on reverse.  Look forward to your recipe Russell!

Sounds interesting.  MrsT works in aged care and I saw a menu once for theose requiring completely blended foods and one option was Apple Crumble !!!!  So sure this would work  ;D ;D ;D

well my friend made mango sorbet while we were away and my kids have discovered they LOVE fruit sorbets!!!! (they aren't keen on fruit generally)

since we've been home we've had sorbet every night, yummo!
last night was lemon and orange
tonight was orange and passionfruit (smells utterly heavenly)

can't wait to try some other flavours now so bumping for more ideas!!!

We've made strawberry, kiwi fruit, mango, rockmelon, chilli & mango (the chilli nearly blew a guest's head off!) and now would like to make passionfruit sorbet (on its own). How do you make passionfruit sorbet and keep the seeds intact?

I have made the tropical sorbet (orange and mango) and just spooned it over the bowls after I served it but I guess you could try the soft stir on reverse??  ^^ :-:

You could make it with strained passionfruit and then add the seeds and do on reverse for about 10 secs to incorporate them??  Maybe - haven't tried

I guess I could try just doing the ice, the egg white, the rest of the ice then  :-: ^^ and add the passionfruit. It just sounds odd.

hello  :)  we love sorbets.  If you freeze the leftover in ice trays and then blitz again when you want to serve i think they are as good as freshly made.  You can do a small amount (2 servings) this way.

Sorry no Rocky Road from me just yet, but we did try our first FAILSAFE sorbet, using just Pear and it tasted yummy. I don't think there's  too much wrong you can use, unless you try something like a Steak sorbet maybe?

I might throw some Citric Acid in our next pear one to give it some Lemony Zing!

We've tried rockmelon, orange, berries, (usually raspberry or blueberry), and lychee with coconut milk and the last time we added some lime juice. Very yum!! We just froze the coconut milk in a container and turned it out when frozen and chopped it into chunks, same with a tin of lychees. With the syrup from the tin we didn't need to use sugar and also used less ice cubes. We don't usually use the egg white in our sorbets, but you can.

Lychee sorbet - very summery, but still like it now!!! We made it the other day while we were away visiting friends in the country, who also have a TMX, but have tried other flavours of sorbet,. They absolutely loved the lychee sorbet. They have teenagers and they thought it was the best sorbet they'd tried!!
