I am off to Singapore for a week with some girl friends.

Lucky you Moptop.  Do the guys know they have to thaw food in the fridge overnight, not on the benchtops?  Probably do but just in case  ;)

You are welcome Amy and would be great to have your help.  :D Poor Jade is working Xmas day as busy in restaurant. :(
What is fly pudding Amy?

Oh poor Jade :( Working on Christmas day doesn't sound fun!

Sorry MF, fly pudding is my name for Christmas pudding because of all the dried fruit in it ;D I got it from my grandpa when he talks about fruit cake. And he also calls chocolate cake "dirt cake" because its brown :D

I should have realized Amy  ;D

I even asked Mr Google and he couldn't tell me  ;D

Thanks for enlightening my silly brain  ;D

Yes poor Jade but we will save some food for her. Not sure if she is starting early and doing the lunch service or starting at 2 and doing dinner service  :( either way they will be fully booked and flat out in the kitchen.

Hehehe, don't worry MF, I probably wouldn't have understood either if I didn't already know what I was talking about ;D

Mr Google must be feeling unwell today, he usually has a good answer (or several million) for everything ;D

I hope the time passes quickly for Jade while she is at work so she can get back home and be with her family :) I can't actually believe that a restaurant would be open on Xmas day :-\

Hope you have a great time!

Amy I never ate Xmas pudding or anything with dried fruit in it until I was in my late twenties. Nan would give me a bowl of ice cream instead and hide a few five cent pieces in it. I now eat pudding, fruit cakes, etc and love them.

My sis makes our Christmas Pudding. It's the most delicious dessert. It has a whole block of chocolate in the mixture and loads of brandy.
It's a Vacola pudding.

I've been in Albany for the past few days so haven't had to cook! Did the Albany Show and caught up with SueJen and Rainbow!!

When I got home there was no bread left, so I whipped up Chookie's No Fuss, Hally's Method. Awesome!! I've just eaten the crust and then had to have another slice too.

A great cook is one who can rustle up a fabulous family meal with some freezer burnt chops, wilted carrots, sprouting potatoes and cabbage that's gone brown on the cut edges.

I'll eat dried fruit if there isn't too much of it in cereal. But I hate it on its own and fruit cakes and puddings always had way too much for my liking :P

Great loaf Uni.  I don't think I've ever made a free-form loaf with the No-fuss recipe.

LOL at fly pydding - that's what we call it too!!

Today I am hoping to do some cooking for FIL as MIL has had to go interstae to her mum who is back in hospital.  :(  And I know if there is no food right under FILs nose he won't eat...then he'll be in bed with a migraine... :-))

Thought I would do the Nan's country tuna rice slice (which I haven't made before) and a couple of other things (which I haven't decided yet.)
:D
