Best gratin we have had.

Is the recipe on line? If so will put it on forum.

It went well with steak, thought it would as Neil says in his book, goes well with steak & greens.

We ate it all. >:( >:(

I found it on Gourmet Traveller and have printed it out.  Tell me Hally and MF, do you use ordinary cabbage or what he suggests, savoy.  Only other query, Gruyere cheese or any cheese.  I hate buying special cheeses when I usually already have feta, cheddar and parmesan in my fridge.

I used Gruyere cheese & regular cabbage.

Can you provde the link, i saw one recipe but it had white wine in it whereas the one  in the book has red wine vinegar.

I use savoy cabbage Judy and gruyere cheese
You could use any cheddar but the gruyere is a better melting cheese but more expensive.
You could also use raclette cheese but again it's expensive

Thanks cookie, posted it under bread, cook it in the pizza oven,  but roll out thinly or it will burn on the elements.
