Thanks for all your lovely comments about my nutmeg cake.
Mcmich, the recipe came from my mum. it's one of those that had been passed around from friend to friend, and made often over the years. I'll post it up today if I get the chance, but I'm getting ready to go away for a week and it may have to wait until I return.

Have a great time ES.

I've just made Tenina's Kaffir Lime scented white chocolate lime pannacotta from her dessert-eBook, this is my favourite dessert of all time.

I love Armenian Nutmeg cake. mum had a nice recipe.

This is Tenina's Brownies from her blog. The ones with apple and dates in. I didn't use as much chocolate as I didn't have enough. They still taste delicious.

The top is chopped chocolate and chopped pistachios.
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.

(copied from another thread)

Cooking the following today/tomorrow for my wife's birthday "coffee & cake" session tomorrow

Black Forest Crepe Cake -- (from Tenina's Whats For Desert) coz it looks devine. Replacing cherries with raspberries
Raspberry & Red Wine Coulis -- to replace the cherry juice in above
Baked Lemon Cheescake (from here) with Strawberries on top (possibly inside) --
Caramlised Nuts (from How to Cook Everything app) -- coz I want to try them
Carrot Cake (from here) -- coz its apparently yummy (and bob wants to give left overs to colleague who likes it)
Chocolate Brownies (Aus Thermomix recipe site) - Mainly for picky kids, though very yummy

I want to also make, but am not,

Lime Merriguin (can't spell it off the top of my head)
Caramel Apple Pudding
and a couple of other bits.

Half think I should make something else savoury for the non sweet tooth people (like me).

I suspect general meal plans are going to be as simple as possible :) Aka Scrambled Egg on Toast for one meal and Omelette for the other. :) (Or Pasta & tomato sauce)

Good luck tarasis and happy birthday to DW. Brilliant idea subbing raspberries for cherries. I don't like cherries so dismissed that recipe. Thanks to you, i Might have to look again.

Busy today - sourdough rolls, chocolate chilli tart (from delicious magazine) dulce de leche, frijoles, carnitas (last two in pressure cooker), rich chocolate cake from Gourmet Traveller. Still have to make tortillas, guacamole and other veges before guests arrive for DS25 birthday tomorrow. Can't believe he's so old!
