I had to google kohlrabi to see what it was Chookie.   :)

Interesting that you substituted 1/4 white flour with the German grain mix as I found it quite a heavy loaf when I made it. Will try that next time.

The celery and leek sauce sounds good - I have celery and leek still in the fridge waiting to be used.

I made the best chicken stock with 20 chicken carcasses from Leanards . Used the flesh for the dog s food and the reduction from the cooking is suburb. Only cost $5. Problem is the freezer is full so what to do with the delicious 2 litres of thick stock?

Pack it flat in ziplock bags Gretchen, you'll easily be able to fit some in then.

That is what I usually so but will have to remove some dogfood first. I am sure DH  will love it .

I will fiddle with the recipe before I post it.  It tastes good ,  but would like a few larger chunks of the veggies.

Chookie, Kohlrabi is delicious in any curry since it takes on the flavour of the curry or korma.

Looks really yum Chookie.

I made some Heilala Vanilla icecream yesterday. Today I made some Date Rolls. They are just like big 'pillows'. The biscuits called pillows that is. It is a Dan Lepard recipe and I mucked around with it a bit. Reduced the sugar in the pastry and the butter in the filling.

cookie,  I love those biscuits.  Can you still buy them?  Will you have time to post the recipe?
