I'm giving puff pastry another try and if all works out will be having tarte tatin for dessert tonight.

So far so good. The pastry has come out in little beads like Tenina's and is now resting in the fridge.

I love Kaya. Will definitely have to make some when I get home.

Thanks for the RC link, CC. It is a tweaked version of the recipe in A Taste of Asia. I used the book's method and the kaya was not perfect yet. Still good.

Just tikka paste today, having roast for dinner. Made chookie's almond & custard scrolls yesterday (minus the almonds - unopened packet had critters in it yuk!). Made half with lemon curd, half with vanilla custard - nearly all gone now, we are pigs!

I've finally caught up with the food shopping after being away so much lately. A trip to the growers market and the supermarket today as well as some baking has set me up for the week ahead. I have made some one minute bread, a choc chip slice and choc ripple biscuits. I have even made a beef and prune dish in the pressure cooker ready for tomorrow night as I have to go out yet again. I'm now relaxing on the couch with the iPad on my lap whilst DH faffs about with the new, enormous TV that he bought yesterday.
